War Horse returns with theatre sound from Autograph

Last night saw the return of a true theatrical phenomenon, as the renowned National Theatre production of War Horse began an all-new tour of the UK and Ireland, with theatre sound from Autograph package.

Now almost 17 years since its debut at the National’s Olivier Theatre, this production has started its run at the New Wimbledon Theatre before moving on to play in venues across the country through 2025.

Based on the best-selling novel by Michael Morpurgo and directed by Katie Henry, this show is an impressively imaginative work of theatre craft, featuring the incredibly life-like creations of the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa.

The production’s sound designer, the multi-award-winning Christopher Shutt, won a Tony Award in 2011 for his design for War Horse on Broadway.
