Autograph sound design for TRAPLORD at Aviva Studios

TRAPLORD – a show from the multi-skilled creative force that is Ivan Michael Blackstock – opens at the new Aviva Studios in Manchester tonight. This award-winning production is supported by a full audio package from Autograph, plus sound design by one of our own hugely talented in-house designers, Luke Swaffield.

Jointly produced by Blackstock’s own production company, ALTRUVIOLET, Factory International and Sadler’s Wells, TRAPLORD won the 2023 Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production in 2023. It combines dance, music and spoken word performance to examine themes of mental health and masculinity.

One to look out for: tomorrow night, Friday 27 September, Blackstock himself will take part in a post-show talk from 9pm – free and open to everyone.
