A Moment In Time – 1998

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2023, it’s fun to look back at some milestones in the company’s history.

In 1998 one such was our 25th anniversary and our friend Rob Halliday (who is still working with us) was commissioned to write a piece marking the occasion by Sound & Communications System International magazine, a title long-since defunct but which used to run alongside Lighting & Sound International.

Happily, Rob was able to find a copy and has generously allowed us to share it here. It’s not only a fascinating snapshot of the company as it then was but for industry folks it’s also a reminder of how far the technology has come since, especially with regard to digital audio mixing.
