Sunday night saw the return of the Olivier Awards to the Royal Albert Hall, a welcome sight after the previous years. Two of our Sound Designers were nominated this year; Ian Dickinson for 2:22 A Ghost Story, and Nick Lidster for Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. They were up against two incredibly talented Designers and two phenomenal shows – Carolyn Downing for Life of Pi, and Gareth Owen for Back To The Future – so we remained optimistic but knew this was a tough category.
However, it is with great pleasure we can say Nick won!

Cabaret took home 7 awards in total, including all four musical acting categories. You can watch highlights of the wins, including Nick’s speech in the video below.
